Zenda Technologies

We at Zenda (www.zendatech.com) have technology that for the first time allows primary care physicians to quickly, easily, and objectively add a cognitive health assessment to your annual physical. We all hear the need for a PSA test, or colonoscopy, or for women - mammograms, but primary care physicians rarely even have any conversation with patients about the disease those patients are afraid of getting second only to cancer - Alzheimer's Disease. For example today, 95% of Alzheimer's patients already have moderate to severe disease on their inital diagnosis.

With the advent of Zenda's technology, there is no need for this true any longer. Our quick 7-10 minute non-invasive screen is important, but equally important is the same healthy life style conversation that primary care physicians typically have with you regarding heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer, but not about your brain. Studies have shown that good preventative healthy life style choices have significant impact on your cognitive health, and as with all those other diseases, early detection leads to better outcomes.Cognitive Health is a critical yet underserved area of medicine today for the general practioner.

Impact Systems

Impact Systems’ video takes a bit of a lighthearted approach to demonstrating how our business supports the BIO Community. Our company should be chosen as a “Be the Buzz of Bio®” Winner because we are a great partner to the BIO Community! Here is how:We help the BIO Community with regulatory compliance – what we refer to in our piece as the “techy, non-glamorous, but totally necessary aspect of managing documents and submissions electronically.” Our products and services allow the BIO Community to FOCUS on what is really important; what they do best – helping patients get better; finding better ways to feed and fuel the world.

Our solution is called Compliance-in-a-Box (CiB), developed specifically for the BIO Community. We’ll start with the bottom line – CiB helps the Community save time, cost and risk. CiB dramatically simplifies the task of implementing a new enterprise content management system. Designed specifically for solutions in regulated environments, we can have a customer’s fully validated system up and running in less than four weeks with this tightly-defined solution. Compare this to the four to six months that it usually takes to get a regulatory compliant system up and running. Remarkable, right?! Combine this with less customer IT involvement required and added peace of mind for the customer, and you have an accelerated return on investment.

There are two Compliance-in-a-Box solutions offered:

  • Compliance-in-a-Box SOP Edition provides the compliance and control software needed to manage regulated content (Procedures such as SOPs and Recipes) across the enterprise with rapid configuration, installation and expert services. Built on top of EMC® Documentum® Compliance Manager, the result is a fully functioning, validated Documentum Compliance environment that is content-ready, supported by Impact Systems expertise and consulting services, pre-configuration tools, templates, and document types.
  • Compliance-in-a-Box Submission Edition provides a turnkey solution for emerging pharmaceutical and biotech companies with the need for regulated content management and electronic submissions to meet eCTD guidelines. The pre-packaged solution includes EMC’s Documentum software, Impact Systems’ installation, configuration and validation, and ISI’s leading regulatory submission and publishing tools.

Biobide S.L.

BIOBIDE is a biotechnology company focused on automated High Throughput Screening (HTS) of potential new drugs. Our goal is to introduce a different service-screening concept into the market by using the zebrafish (Danio rerio) as a model organism.Biobide has developed a fully automated platform to reproduce the manual process of screening in a 96-well plate format 'in vivo' with zebrafish embryos.

The zebrafish model can be adapted to ROBOTIZED HTS PLATFORMS allowing:- Higher analysis capacity: more compounds tested in less time.- Higher speed: the higher analysis capacity shortens necessary testing times, with zebrafish embryos.- More relevant information to be provided: the automated high throughput screening in zebrafish ('in vivo') gives more information than 'in vitro' screenings, because the study is based on an organism rather than on an isolated cell.

The main application of the HTS platform with zebrafih are:Toxicity screenings: for cardiotoxicity (Cardiotox assay), teratogenicity (Teratox assay), Ototoxicity (Ototox assay), and acute toxicity (acutetox assay); and efficacy assays, as the antiangiogenic efficacy for antineoplasic drugs.
